How do I get PrivacyScan?
PrivacyScan is currently available from the Mac App Store (Available on Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later). To access the Mac App Store simply click the Apple menu located in the upper left hand corner of your screen and select “App Store…” Once you have opened the Mac App Store, simply search for PrivacyScan.
System Requirements
PrivacyScan will run on Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later, and requires a 64-bit processor. You can determine the processor type of your Mac by referring to the chart available at: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3696
How do I get PrivacyScan?
Is PrivacyScan having trouble cleaning some of your files? Be certain you are running the latest version of the PrivacyScan by checking for updates in the Mac App Store. If PrivacyScan is up-to-date and still experiencing issues, let us know! Please include the error message and the names of affected files and programs, as well as the version number for the affected program, and send an email to privacyscan@securemac.com with any supporting documents as attachments (including screenshots).
Upgrading – How do I upgrade to the latest version of PrivacyScan?
If you’ve already purchased PrivacyScan from the Mac App Store you don’t need to purchase it again, the updates are free! To check for updates, go to the Mac App Store by clicking the Apple menu on your Mac and then clicking “App Store.” Make sure you are signed into your Mac App Store account, then click the “Updates” tab and you should see the PrivacyScan update listed there for download.

Reporting issues with PrivacyScan
Every now and then things don’t work right, and we’d like to fix any problems that you find in PrivacyScan! With your help in reporting any issues that you encounter, we’ll be able to quickly investigate any problems and get them fixed as soon as possible! You can e-mail privacyscan@securemac.com with any details that can help us replicate the issue, including what you were doing at the time you experienced the problem, your system specifications including the operating system version, hard drive size and free space, total installed memory (RAM), as well as any supporting information, screenshots or details.
Will PrivacyScan run in the background?
PrivacyScan is a stand alone application that only runs when launched and does not continue to run in the background when the program is quit. At this time PrivacyScan does not have a scheduler to automate the scan or cleaning processes.
